Star Republic

Welcome to the Star Republic main page.

Background:

The Star Republic was formed by an act of the Solar Union Congress on July 4th 2076. The first member planets were Earth and Mars from the Sol system and Alpha Prime from the Alpha Centauri system. Barnard Prime joined the Star Republic April 12th 2083 followed by Wolf Prime on March 24th 2085. Each member state has representaion in the Star Republic based on total population. Each citizen of the Star Republic has rights which are clearly defined in the Star Republic Constitution.

Organization:

Legislative (Under construction)

The legislative branch of government is made up of the Congress. Article I of the Star Republic Constitution established this branch and gave Congress the power to make laws. Congress has two parts, the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Executive (Under construction)

The executive branch of Government makes sure that the laws of the Star Republic are obeyed. Article II of the Star Republic Constitution defines the duties of the the President of the Star Republic who is the head of the executive branch of government.

Justice (Under construction)

The judicial branch of government is made up of the Supreme Court and other inferior courts as Congress may deem necessary from time to time. Article III of the Star Republic Constitution established this branch.
