The Space Voyagers - Coup d'état
Story synopsis;
Date December 7th 2163. The crew of the USS Essex and the remainder of the task force return home after a long and bloody mission. As they approach Star Republic space they begin to receive disturbing transmissions from all corners of the republic. Transmissions telling of the republic in turmoil, a military in chaos, and a people divided.
Within days of the task forces departure from space dock the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff siezed control of the government and declared martial law. Loyalist within the military who uncovered the plot warned the President. The President, her staff and several members of the Star Republic Congress escaped to Wolf Prime. There, along with military units loyal to the republic, they have made a stand and vowed to fight to restore the republic to the people.
Captain Hunt orders the task force to Wolf Prime to support the President and the military units loyal to the republic. You'll want to see this because I don't even know where the hell I'm going yet.
